First Church is an Open and Affirming Congregation which embraces the uniqueness of each person as a gift of God. We receive into the Congregation and as friends all who believe in God without regard to race, color, culture, age, marital status, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical ability, or mental ability.
 

We are truly a church family. We share a life together in work and worship, in prayer and in play. Our love of God is manifested through our compassionate care for all God’s children.  

At First, we seek to grow spiritually through our times of worship and through our opportunities to learn through our various discussion groups, youth programs, and through Forums on a variety of topics.

In our daily lives we seek to live out our faith through our involvement with the Community Kitchen, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and other mission opportunities.
